Alice is in our second cohort of Chesapeake Bay Fellows. She and Deni Budman are researching the Chesapeake Bay’s islands. Their experience on Tangier Island this summer awakened an interest in island life, history, and culture.
Alice writes, ” We forget that the Bay is not just there to be for our recreation or as our dump. It is a habitat for thousands of species. It is a body of water that so many people depend on with their jobs and their lives. And that is why the Chesapeake Bay Fellows are going to save the Bay.”
