Favorite adult book recommendation — To Kill a Mockingbird Girls by Harper Lee
I choose this book for its incredible depiction of social conflict in a small town regarding race relations. As with most novels, this town reflects the larger country and makes its readers consider justice and our Constitution.
Favorite children’s book recommendation — The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
I would recommend the Beatrix Potter series of children’s stories entitled: The Peter Rabbit Series. This book collection offers wonderful life lessons on basic social interactions, manners, etc. Potter’s prolific use of vocabulary and her interjection of humor make these books a delight for any child with a huge imagination. The use of animals is a great way to provoke any human emotion, and this author does it beautifully.
