Today we drove from the base of the Great Wall to the city. We said thank you and goodbye to our host family. Once we made it to the city we checked into our hotel and hit the streets to find a good noodle place for lunch. Pork was the move at the noodle place (S/O to those who got chicken). After lunch we went to the summer palace and split up to enjoy the beautiful gardens and statues. After the summer palace we walked a while along the streets and stopped for a little coffee and then went to dinner. At dinner Ryder enjoyed a lovely super hot pepper. Against all recommendations, we all enjoyed great American snacks at the local street market. All are looking forward to the forbidden palace tomorrow.
